Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing, checking and updating structural drawings, sketches and details;
• Undertake the design of minor structural elements manually or by means of computer;
• Prepare site sketches for construction and amend structural drawings;
• Carry out tests and inspection of structural works on site;
• Co-ordinate the structural, civil, geotechnical, architectural and building services drawings;
• Liaise with the professionals, technical officers and site staff with the matters related to the design and construction of the project;
• Assist with the research of building materials for use in the Contract;
• Arrange the printing and distribution of drawings;
• Assist in updating as-built record drawings and processing application for Excavation Permit;
• Problem solving with the technical problems arising from site or discrepancies in drawings;
• Duties as assigned by CM or CM's Representatives.
 

Requirements

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Civil/Structural Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University or an institute of vocational education, or equivalent and with relevant drafting and preparation of structural drawings experience, together with good knowledge of Building Regulations and Code of Practices;
• Possession of proficient skill in AutoCAD;
• Good command in English and Cantonese / Mandarin;
• Successful candidate will be transferred to works in HD's office;
• According to the terms and conditions as stipulated by Housing Department subject to eligible experience and undertaking of extra hours of overtime working;
• Contract period: 24 months.
