React / React Native Developer - Leading Insurance Group
Our client, a leading life insurance group, is looking for a tech lead to join their digital technology team. The selected candidate will oversee and manage mobile and web applications of their customer digital platforms and drive the full SDLC including the development of their mobile and web applications.
Responsibilities:
Drive the end-to-end delivery of mobile applications, ensuring adherence to quality standards, project timelines, and budget constraints.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and business leaders, to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Manage the entire software development life cycle, ensuring effective project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development within the mobile engineering discipline.
Contribute to the development and implementation of mobile app architecture, frameworks, and development standards in alignment with company-wide technology strategies.
Manage the continuous improvement of the existing systems and streamline the software development process.
Lead a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that promotes innovation and continuous improvement.
Enforce industry best practices, coding standards, and guidelines to produce efficient, scalable, and maintainable mobile applications.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Over 4 years of experience in leading mobile application development projects, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
Development experience with cross-platform mobile frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
Strong understanding of full-stack development concepts, including front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js) and mobile platforms (React Native, Swift, or Java).
Experience in automation testing and performance testing is a significant advantage.
Previous experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a proven ability to effectively manage agile teams.
Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices is desirable.
Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese), along with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to deliver innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
