Position Summary: Our client is a US based company. The Head of Supplier Management is responsible for building and maintaining strategic supplier relationships, optimizing supplier performance, and ensuring sustained value creation for the organization. This role emphasizes compliance, quality standards, and effective vendor management while overseeing supplier contract negotiations, risk management, and performance tracking. The successful candidate will deliver measurable results in supplier optimization and contribute to the organization's operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead key supplier relationship management to ensure strategic alignment and long-term partnerships.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, focusing on sustaining product supply and optimizing terms.
Track and analyze supplier performance, ensuring metrics align with organizational goals and addressing risks proactively.
Implement supplier risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions and maintain supply chain resilience.
Drive value creation initiatives by identifying cost-saving opportunities and enhancing supplier collaboration.
Ensure strict adherence to compliance regulations, quality standards, and organizational policies in all supplier interactions.
Oversee sourcing and vendor management to align with operational and strategic objectives.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to align supplier management strategies with business needs.
Monitor market trends and assess supplier capabilities to maintain a competitive supplier base.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration/a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in supplier management, sourcing, or procurement, with a strong focus on contract negotiation and risk management.
Proven expertise in supplier relationship management and performance optimization.
Comprehensive understanding of compliance and quality assurance standards in supplier management.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Proficiency in vendor management systems and supply chain management tools.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
Experience in driving cost-saving initiatives and fostering value-added supplier partnerships.
