Role Purpose
Crestron Technical Sales Engineer, Hospitality is a representative who will call on key accounts and help support technical initiatives with our sales team and liaise with customers to define requirements and expectations of a project.
We will look for you to showcase a moderate understanding of audio & visual (AV) technology, problem solving skills, and an ability to think outside the box, identifying alternate and creative solutions to address customers’ project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Call on Key Accounts to support their technical teams, providing product demonstrations, system design assistance and technical training
- Design and implement demonstration systems
- Elaborate and present the AV solution and system for our Sales team and customers.
- Work closely with the Sales team to support their initiatives.
- Provide on-site assistance support to Crestron's dealers and customers at a pre-sales discussion stage.
- Ensure all customers receive world-class support.
Required Competencies
- 5 years A/V experience in a highly competitive market
- Relevant education degree/ diploma/ technical certifications
- An ability to work, plan & execute independently.
- Excellent presentation skills and a strong understanding of corporate culture.
- Self-starter with proven ability to constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects.
- A clear understanding of the company’s play & positioning in the technology space.
- Understanding of Audio & Visual Control system integration field knowledge or equivalent experience in Audio Visual skillset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio applications.
- Experience with drafting software like AutoCAD.
- Good basic understanding of Ethernet networking technologies and protocols pertaining to commercial AV systems integration.
- Exposure in Unified Collaboration, Video Conferencing, Conference and Board Room presentation systems preferred and good to have related certifications (eg. Microsoft Teams Rooms Technical Solution Professional, Teams Meetings and Meeting Rooms Technical Assessment, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Support Engineer Specialty, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate)
- Proficiency with, and knowledge of, streaming video protocols and technologies including H.264/H.265, Multicast and Unicast RTSP are added advantage.
- Good to have experience with industry leading audio DSPs as applied to AV systems integration.
- Good to have experience with integrating commercial technologies including, Lighting, HVAC, Distributed Audio/Video, Security and Surveillance Systems.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
