We are hiring for one of our portfolio companies and and they’re looking for a Research Scout to join their team. The Research Scout will focus on deep industry research, identifying trends, and generating fresh, actionable ideas across the wellness, entertainment, lifestyle, and F&B sectors. This role requires a curious, creative, and resourceful individual who thrives on discovering the next big thing and providing insights that fuel innovation.
In This Role, You Will
Conduct comprehensive industry research within wellness, entertainment, lifestyle, and F&B to identify new trends, emerging consumer behaviors, and innovative concepts.
Monitor and analyze market shifts, competitor activity, and consumer sentiment to keep the company informed of key developments within the industries.
Generate fresh, creative ideas that align with business goals, offering new products, services, or strategies that appeal to our target audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, and design) to provide research insights that influence product development, branding, and marketing campaigns.
Curate industry reports and presentations, summarizing key insights and actionable recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
Track and analyze data from various sources (industry reports, social media, competitor analysis, consumer feedback) to spot patterns and inform decision-making.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and workshops to ideate on new opportunities, partnerships, and growth areas.
Develop and maintain relationships with industry influencers, thought leaders, and market experts to gather first-hand insights and keep a pulse on emerging trends.
Stay up-to-date with global trends in wellness, entertainment, lifestyle, and F&B through continuous learning, attending relevant events, and reading industry publications.
You Might Thrive In This Role If You Have
2+ years of experience in research, trend analysis, or a related field, preferably in wellness, entertainment, retail, or F&B industries. Fresh graduates with strong interest in above industries are also welcome.
Demonstrated ability to uncover and analyze trends, consumer behavior, and market data.
A creative and analytical mindset, with a passion for discovering and developing new ideas.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and compellingly.
Proficiency in using research tools and platforms (e.g., Google Trends, Mintel, Statista) and social media for trend spotting.
Familiarity with global trends and cultural movements in the above sectors.
Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
