The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) is the Government’s designated organisation to provide the high performance training system for eligible sports. The HKSI’s mission is to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena benchmarked at Major Games results. We are now inviting suitable candidates for the following vacancy:

(Annual performance based remuneration package ranges from HK$ 332,746 to HK$803,220)

THE JOB

Reporting to the Fencing Coach under the oversight of the Head Fencing Coach, the Assistant Fencing Coach will be responsible for the following duties:

• To coordinate, design and implement training programmes for elite athletes in Hong Kong;
• To fully utilize and integrate scientific, medical and other athlete support services into the elite training programme to enhance elite youth training outcomes;
• To assist with the administration and coordination of logistics, accounting, coaching and team resources related to local and overseas squad training and competitions.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• University degree or post-secondary Certificate / Diploma, or its equivalent;
• Holder of a valid coaching certificate issued by relevant governing body;
• A minimum of 2 years’ professional coaching experience in Fencing;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• High level of computer literacy; and
• Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.

主要職責

在劍擊總教練的監督下，助理劍擊教練須向劍擊教練匯報工作情況，其職責詳列如下：

• 負責籌劃、設計及執行香港劍擊青少年訓練計劃；
• 在進行青少年訓練計劃時，善用所有運動科學、醫療及其他為運動員而設的支援服務，以加強訓練成果；
• 在安排運動員於本地及海外集訓或比賽時，須協助統籌有關行政管理、後勤、會計及資源分配等工作。多方位和定期評估，以監察運動員的表現。

職位要求

• 大學學位或大專證書、文憑，或同等學歷；
• 持有由相關機構頒發的有效教練証書；
• 具備最少兩年劍擊專業教練經驗；
• 具備良好溝通能力及人際關係；
• 熟悉電腦操作；及
• 認識香港保護兒童及平等機會政策為佳。
