We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:

 

Part-time Research Assistant I/Research Assistant II/ Technical Assistant (Phlebotomy) (N&HS) (Ref.: 25000IV)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee(s) will mainly assist the research teams in the School for one or more of the following tasks:

  • recruiting participants for research projects;
  • performing data collection and data input for research projects;
  • conducting blood taking for research projects; and
  • undertaking such other duties as determined by project team members or managers.


Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • For Part-time Technical Assistant: at least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics;
  • For Part-time Research Assistant II: a recognized Bachelor's degree, preferably in the broad area of Biological, Health or Physical Sciences (e.g. Biology, Nursing);
  • For Part-time Research Assistant I: a recognized Master's degree, preferably in the broad area of Biological, Health or Physical Sciences (e.g. Biology, Nursing);
  • able to work under different schedules (i.e. flexible schedules);
  • obtained a recognized phlebotomy certificate or be licensed by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong to practise as a Registered Nurse;
  • a good command of Chinese and English;
  • previous experience in programming or data collection; and
  • preference will be given to those with experience in handling biological specimens or working with human subjects for research studies.
     

Duration of Appointment

Successful candidate(s) will work not more than 17 hours per week for the period between June 2025 and June 2026.
 

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
