Role Introduction

The incumbent shall provide the best possible support to the business, execute knowledge of the installed MEP and Builders systems and operational processes required to maintain these systems in the optimal working condition, and drive performance of routine maintenance and specialist service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support their line manager in all functions;
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and examine work for completeness and quality; Organize scheduling to achieve greatest efficiency while maintaining event deadlines;
  • Maintain records and input information using the management software program;
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is tested and maintained at the correct intervals recommended by the manufacturers and in line with industry standards;
  • Schedule of staff to meet venue requirements, issue of work instructions, prioritise and delegate of workload;
  • Respond for the maintenance and operation of technical and fixed equipment within the facility;
  • Develop and implement maintenance management services to support event planning and delivery in line with company event management procedures;
  • Develop energy conservation program to help reduce energy consumption in a sustainable way;
  • Monitor and review of relevant safety procedures and policies to ensure they are implemented to the required standard, including participation on the health and safety committee;
  • Monitor individual and team performance to maintain and improve the service provided by both staff and external specialist suppliers;
  • Provide local knowledge and supervision of internal and external maintenance works;
  • Ensure the contracted work is carried out with the minimum of disruption, within the specified times and to an acceptable standard;
  • Attend and standby if any issues occurred during events as required;
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed;
  • Any other duties as required by Assistant/General Manager - Assets & Facilities.

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma or above in Building Engineering, Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related subjects;
  • Minimum 6 years' relevant work experience of building maintenance, planning, and scheduling maintenance works fitting-out work control and 3 years' E&M operation for the property in supervisory level;
  • Hands-on experience in managing building maintenance, site coordination and emergency repair works;
  • Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (Grade B) or above;
  • Independent, analytical, self-motivated, well-organized and able to work under pressure;
  • Familiar with Building Management System (BMS), Safety Management System and/or others facilities management software such as Maximo/Planon (Computerized Maintenance Management System);
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; ability to speak Putonghua is a definite advantage.

Kai Tak Sports Park is a fully integrated sports, leisure and entertainment destination that is expected to be completed in 2024. The 28 hectare park will be part of the redevelopment on the site of the old Hong Kong International Airport in Kai Tak. Kai Tak Sports Park Ltd (KTSPL) has been awarded the contract to undertake this project.
