We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Analyst for the Trade Support Operations team based in Hong Kong. This role is pivotal in providing operational support across Asia, acting as the local point of contact for domestic settlement and same-day settlement queries. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring market deadlines are met and financial loss risks are minimised. They will also manage relationships with custodians, counterparts, clients, and internal colleagues to ensure trades are settled promptly and efficiently.

Job Description

As an Analyst in Trade Support Operations, your role will be multifaceted. You will investigate and resolve unmatched or mismatched JPY/non-JPY trades, monitor all outstanding domestic settlements, and repair trades where necessary. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be put to use as you follow up on mismatched trades escalated from other regions. You will adhere strictly to company policies and guidelines while ensuring that client queries are responded to promptly. Your ability to manually construct SWIFT messages when required will be crucial. Furthermore, you will monitor the current market status and resolve any issues to ensure the successful settlement of all Asian domestic trades.

•    Investigate and resolve unmatched/mismatched JPY/non-JPY trades
•    Monitor all domestic settlements outstanding and alleged trades reports from Agents
•    Repair trades where support required from trading/sales
•    Follow up mismatched trades escalated from other regions when not solved by Asia trader/salesperson
•    Adhere to company policies and guidelines
•    Ensure client queries are responded to in a timely manner
•    Manual construct SWIFT message when required
•    Monitor current market status and resolve any problems to ensure settlement of all Asian domestic trades with good value

Requirement
The ideal candidate for the Analyst, Trade Support Operations role brings a wealth of experience in Vanilla Derivatives/Fix Income and Equity Trade Support. Your knowledge of SWIFT, trade booking, and settlement systems such as Bloomberg, Gloss, Murex, MarkitWire will be invaluable in this role. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to deal effectively with others including Front Office staff. With a control mindset, you can identify and deliver process improvements. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills will be put to good use as you work with multiple businesses and support partners. Your ability to work with teams across different time-zones and cultures will also be crucial in this role.

•    2-3 years experience of Vanilla Derivatives/Fix Income and Equity Trade Support
•    Knowledge of SWIFT, trade booking, settlement systems like Bloomberg, Gloss, Murex, MarkitWire
•    Good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with others including Front Office staff
•    Control mindset able to identify and deliver process and control improvements
•    Good communication and negotiation skills with confidence to work with multiple businesses and support partners
•    Ability to work with teams across time-zones and cultures
