Position Summary
The Financial Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of a company’s financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, tax reporting, company secretarial matters, development of internal control policies and procedures and also SOX 404 compliance in Asia region.
Strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a Financial Controller will aid our organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, payments, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Manage accounting records and ensure their accuracy
• Produce financial reports related to consolidated accounts, account payable, account receivables, expenses etc.
• Oversee and manage all general ledger activity
• Handle full aspects of cost accounting
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards including in the U.S.
• Coordinate or direct the treasury and financing activities in Asia
• Monitor internal controls and ensure Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance
• Manage and in charge of tax computation and optimising tax structure in Asia
• Able to work with external auditors, legal and tax advisers and bankers
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Manage company secretarial matters for all entities in Asia.
• Additional controller duties as necessary
Qualifications - Knowledge & Experience
• Must have a minimum of 15 years practical work experience in accounting
• Experience with accounting in manufacturing company is a plus.
• Proven work experience as a Financial Controller
• Proficiency in accounting software. Oracle system experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles in Hong Kong
• Knowledge on USGAAP is a plus.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
• Well acquainted with Hong Kong and PRC accounting and tax systems
• Demonstrated superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Education, Licenses & Certification
• BS/MA degree in Finance or Accounting
• A Qualified Accountant / CPA is a must
• Experience in Big 4 and Tax Authority is preferred
Work Conditions
• Ability to travel to other locations in China and Vietnam.
• 40-hours plus per week
• Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
• Sitting for extended periods of time; Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc
