Purpose of the job:

Plan and carry out hardware baseband design, verification and validation during development of new products and provide technical supports for the existing products, production line, other departments and sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Design circuits and create schematics.

• Arrange hardware review, both formal and non-formal as needed and required.

• Make PCB layout.

• Plan and carry out hardware verification with testing reports.

• Create and maintain design documentation (BOM, drawings, instructions, etc.).

• Release design materials for production.

• Handle type approval for the products

• Support production (both onsite and offsite) on product-technical and testing issues.

• Closely work and share information with teammates and other teams.

• Support younger staff in training within the technology and tools used.

• Support with technical input and feasibility study for the product specifications and new project opportunities.

• Follow the 2-hour rule.

• Be supportive to help with additional R&D tasks not mentioned above.

• Report to Baseband Manager

Personal Skills

• Good communication skills, including fluently spoken English and Putonghua.

• Experience in Microsoft Office (Especially Word and Excel).

• Experience with schematic and layout creation (using PADS).

• Strong Knowledge and experience in Analog circuits, power circuits, and digital circuit design.

• Experience in type approval for different countries and regions, such as FCC, CE, UKCA, and RCM.

• Experience in ARM application design is an advantage.

• Experience in RF design is an advantage.

• Proactive, result-oriented, outgoing, and positive.

• Leadership skills to drive projects to happen on time.

• Good technical problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Electronic Engineering or any Engineering-related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in designing hardware in the telecommunication industry.
