This is an opportunity to work with Mace in Hong Kong, with a major client on a global IPMO. This significant programme of works with one of the most renowned client organizations has arisen through our unique IPMO approach.

You'll Be Responsible For
- Positioning, promoting, and protecting the Mace brand and our clients’ interests in relation to health, safety, and wellbeing (HSW).
- Developing, managing and implementing agreed HSW processes and procedures in accordance with policies, principles, and standards.
- Developing, managing, driving and implementing best practice initiatives on a global portfolio.
- Managing functional elements of the operational HSW function such that it is efficient, effective, and cohesive.
- Working collaboratively with other departments in the pursuit of continuous improvement.
- Provide assurance and report against the health and safety key performance Indicators.
- Review and provide guidance during critical incident investigations.
- Issuing timely and effective escalation of non-compliance issues they are unable to influence or achieve a satisfactory conclusion and supporting Client and other Delivery Partner teams to do the same.
- Promoting and delivering HSW management best practice to the Client and Delivery Partner teams
- Enabling the assessment, management, and mitigation of risk in accordance with relevant regulations and good practice.
- Ensuring compliance with the sector specific HSW training plan and KPI’s agreed with or assigned by the business or client.
- Develop and deliver HSW training materials and communications.
You’ll Need To Have
- Practical experience in the following sectors: Corporate real estate, commercial new build, refurbishment, additions and alterations, fit out, maintenance and operations.
- An eagerness to contribute fresh ideas on HSW strategy, business planning and business development that challenge the normal.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to different work environments.
- Experience in developing innovation and best practice, including clearly communicating these to the wider business and our clients.
- Demonstrate the self-motivation, ability and drive to succeed
- Accomplished negotiation skills with the ability to always preserve company and team interests.
- Gravitas that will appeal to clients and gain the respect of the management team.
- A senior level profile within the sector and across different regions.
- A track record of achieving a strong HSW culture across international regions, where people feel a sense of personal responsibility.
- The ability to contribute to the development of local regional and global management systems, processes and procedures.
- The ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships at a senior level, establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with client and stakeholders including design team members, contractors, sub-contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Experience in managing, coaching and developing teams and individuals.
- A natural ability to appraise, develop and motivate staff and high performing teams.
- Experience in change management processes and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written including presenting skills Solid administration and IT skills – advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- The ability to represent Mace at relevant forums and through presentations to clients and working groups.
- Demonstrate determination through professionalism and a winning mentality.
- Ability to sell the Mace brand, service offerings and capabilities.
You'll Also Have
- Degree qualification in safety and be a member of a professional body.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Relevant experience in Asia.
- Construction or project management background.
- International construction experience is an advantage.
