Company Description

About Resolve Foundation

Resolve is a Hong Kong-based, non-subsidized section 88-NGO founded with one question in mind: in an age of increasing polarization and intolerance, how can we build more inclusive and accepting societies? We believe the answer rests with communities themselves, harnessing their own power to bring about positive social change.

A small and relatively new nonprofit, we provide a dynamic platform to empower future community leaders, particularly from traditionally marginalized and underrepresented groups, with the skills, network and resources for them to know, understand, and act upon their rights for the benefit of the communities they represent and foster a more inclusive Hong Kong.

Our mission: We exist to inspire, empower and connect emerging leaders to bring about inclusive social change. Our vision: We believe in a Hong Kong where everyone is heard and can take everyday action for their community. Our values: Rights, Equality, Solidarity, Organization, Leadership, Voice and Empowerment. Our work includes a signature Social Justice Fellowship, a thriving alumni network and innovative opportunity fund for fellows and public engagement work on diversity, equity and inclusion, including through the #EveryActionMatters campaign.

In our first three years, Resolve ran iterations of our Fellowship on Racial Equality and Inclusion (2018), Ending Gender-Based Violence Together (2019) and Disability and Empowerment (2020). Over 50 fellows completed our program and 80% reported that they would not have accomplished what they had without Resolve’s support. During these three years, Resolve and its fellows had a combined online and offline reach of 2 million and garnered over 300 partnerships and collaborations. Learn more at www.resolvehk.org.
