The Project Delivery Director is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. This individual will drive excellence in execution, manage cross-functional teams, and maintain stakeholder satisfaction while adhering to scope, timeline, and budget constraints. The role demands expertise in strategic planning, risk mitigation, resource optimization, and fostering collaboration across departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
Responsible for WRB initiative delivery in HK.
Managing the Key Projects, ensuring compliance with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.
Monitor progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure quality standards
Establish governance frameworks and best practices for consistency.
Business
Accountable for driving continuous productivity improvement and testing automation / migration initiatives.
Accountable for optimising value delivered from our investment in system changes.
Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of system initiatives for WRB HK, i.e. from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring till closure.
Supporting Group to implement system changes locally.
Processes
Responsible for project management and testing processes.
People & Talent
Responsible for maintaining sufficient capacity to deliver business initiatives for WRB HK.
Accountable for the training of team members to fulfil their delivery roles.
Responsible for the building bench strength and succession planning.
Risk Management
Accountable for risk identification, assessment and mitigation in system and process changes through active collaboration with BRM, Operational Risk, Compliance, Technology Risk and Country Technology Management.
Escalate critical issues to executives with actionable solutions.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security standards.
Governance
Responsible to comply with the group’s technology change delivery and project management policies.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Participate in the Keystone project as WRB HK representative to ensure a smooth transition from Hogan to Atlas.
