The Job
Conduct compliance risk assessments and monitoring tests, identifying related issues for appropriate remediation and escalation
Participate in the annual compliance cycle planning, including the development of the Annual Compliance Plan, monitoring test plans, and training plans
Conduct compliance reviews, including ad hoc reviews, quality assurance reviews, and sample checks to ensure adherence to various regulatory requirements
Participate in new business initiative projects and prepare documentation for regulatory approval
Perform gap analyses and assessments on regulatory requirements to ensure continuous compliance
Assist in localizing the Group Policies/Standards, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth launch
Provide cover and support to other teammates
Any ad hoc assignments or tasks that may be delegated by Head of Compliance from time to time
The Person
Bachelor Degree in law, accounting or business
At least 5 years of compliance related working experience in financial institutions in Hong Kong with at least 2 years in insurance industry
Relevant experience in dealing with regulators such as Hong Kong Insurance Authority, The Securities and Futures Commission
Familiar with insurance related legislations and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong
Fluent in written and spoken English & Cantonese
Strong analytical and research skills.
Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Able to work independently and as a team player.
