The Job

  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and monitoring tests, identifying related issues for appropriate remediation and escalation

  • Participate in the annual compliance cycle planning, including the development of the Annual Compliance Plan, monitoring test plans, and training plans

  • Conduct compliance reviews, including ad hoc reviews, quality assurance reviews, and sample checks to ensure adherence to various regulatory requirements

  • Participate in new business initiative projects and prepare documentation for regulatory approval

  • Perform gap analyses and assessments on regulatory requirements to ensure continuous compliance

  • Assist in localizing the Group Policies/Standards, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth launch

  • Provide cover and support to other teammates

  • Any ad hoc assignments or tasks that may be delegated by Head of Compliance from time to time

The Person

  • Bachelor Degree in law, accounting or business

  • At least 5 years of compliance related working experience in financial institutions in Hong Kong with at least 2 years in insurance industry

  • Relevant experience in dealing with regulators such as Hong Kong Insurance Authority, The Securities and Futures Commission

  • Familiar with insurance related legislations and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong

  • Fluent in written and spoken English & Cantonese

  • Strong analytical and research skills.

  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

  • Able to work independently and as a team player.
