Responsibilities

• Undertake design tasks and provide technical support for rolling stock engineering vehicles.
• Undertake asset replacement/refurbishment/modification projects and other capital and revenue works related to engineering vehicles
• Make recommendations to address technical problems of the existing system design and propose long term technical solutions
• Compile technical specifications, review design submissions, attend site inspection and testing and commissioning activities

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant design experience
• Solid experience in rolling stock design is an advantage
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)

Remarks

• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Support Engineer – Rolling Stock Engineering position
• Appointment will be made on on-going terms or two-year renewable contract terms subject to project nature
• Occasional business travel may be required
