Reports to: Customer Experience Manager - Entertainment

Departments: CED - Customer Experience & Design

The role is part of a global team in our Customer Experience & Design (CED) department who aim to refine, invest and improve in the areas that we know matter most to our customers, that reflects our Move Beyond promise: one that is consistent and reliable.

As the Assistant Manager – IFE Content Operation, you will play a key role in our vibrant and fast-paced Inflight Entertainment Content team, collaborating across teams to maintain detailed communication with both internal and external partners, ensure that all technical and operation functions run efficiently. This role involves content versioning, collaborating with global teams and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. We will work together to ensure a world-class Inflight Entertainment (IFE) experience to our passengers.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor end-to-end media delivery and metadata signoff; manage both internal and external stakeholders to assure all operation timelines are met.
  • Act as a central liaison between internal teams (i.e. Engineering Department) and external partners (i.e. IFE suppliers and Content Service Providers) to execute operation plans that align with IFE objectives, often managing concurrent schedules effectively.
  • Conduct daily content reviews and screenings, critically evaluating audio and visual materials for compliance with regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed screening reports, flagging sensitive content and compliance issues. Assess and validate edit notes from Content Service Providers.
  • Perform industry benchmarking exercises to drive continuous improvement plan in operational efficiency, screening processes and compliance standards.
  • Assist in media size management planning to ensure adherence to aircraft media server storage limits.
  • Support the development and execution of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and workflow.
  • Support the IFE team on rack check to reassure all metadata and media delivered are correct.

Requirements

 

  • Over 5 years of experience in media operation (i.e. OTT, Theatrical, Paid TV, Broadcaster, etc.) or related fields. Prior Inflight Entertainment industry experience is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong broadcasting regulations, including OFCA’s general code of practice on TV programs, and HK Film Censorship Authority guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to process optimization.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in content screening and report preparation.
  • Outstanding team player with strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and a "can-do" attitude.
