Job Overview:


The Business Manager/ Director will serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director, providing support through actionable insights and deliverables that enhance productivity and strategic decision-making. Additionally, the Business Manager/ Director will be personally accountable for key business growth and profitability objectives, ensuring the company's continued success in the HKTW region.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Core Accountabilities:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive work plans focused on business development, solutions, and implementation, ensuring critical priorities are met.
  • Support business development initiatives by identifying and pursuing new opportunities with our Business Development Director, networking, and establishing relationships within the industry.
  • Actively takes part in new business pitch development and presentation delivery, accountable for the winning of additional business
  • Support with the development of robust client solutions delivery, implementation scenarios and other strategic work for one or more clients simultaneously
  • Own the delivery of documented process mapping, due diligence reporting and detailed solutions design and concepts proposals
  • Possess and demonstrate a full understanding of the client’s business/issues (and industry) and be viewed as the expert advisor both internally and externally
  • Support the Managing Director with organisational design and teams to enhance operational efficiency and improve the client experience, including working with Account Directors on existing business account plans and initiatives
  • Work with Managing Director on the management of the HKTW financial performance, including working closely with Key Account leads on forecasting and budgeting, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Partner with functional teams to implement effective internal controls, policies, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ensure alignment between Business Development, Marketing, and Operations teams to support the company’s strategic growth plan in the HKTW region.


2. Strategic Advisory to the Managing Director:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, contributing to the strategic direction of the business by providing insights, information, and deliverables that aid in decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to identify opportunities for increased profitability through both new and existing business ventures.
  • Actively participate in driving business growth by leveraging market trends, client requirements, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of regional and global market developments, ensuring the company stays competitive.
  • Foster relationships with key clients through regular engagement and an in-depth understanding of their business needs and future priorities.
  • Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and a commitment to quality across the organisation.
  • Contribute to resource management, budget allocation, and personnel decisions as part of the senior leadership team.
  • Ensure effective communication across internal teams and with key stakeholders, including HKTW staff, geographic leaders, and business partners.
  • Support business growth across APAC and contribute to organisational learning and development.
  • Step in as a deputy for the Managing Director when required.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen with experience in strategic planning and business growth.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and identify new business opportunities and implement them
  • Experience working in a leadership role within a fast-paced, competitive industry.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in managing budgets, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (verbal, reading, writing)
