The Department
Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions.

The Job
You will:

• Assist the Sous Chef to supervise the food preparation and production in the assigned kitchen(s)
• Ensure the purchased food items are met with the predetermined quality and quantity
• Monitor the supply of food items during buffet time and review food wastage for future adjustment
• Ensure food storage and hygiene standards are followed in line with the Club’s guideline
• Assist administrative work such as staff training, monthly stock take and equipment maintenance etc

About You
You should have:

• A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in prestigious hotels or restaurants with 2 yrs in a similar position
• Knowledge in hygiene management system is preferre
• Communicate effectively in Chinese
• Keep abreast of the market trends and contemporary food presentation
• Encourage consistency in producing excellent food to exceed guests expectation
• Build harmonious work and establish good relations with team members
• Work Location in Shatin and Happy Valley

Terms of employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
