Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is the administration of the newly launched Taught Master of Arts Programme ‘Digital History in Global Asia’
• Assist the Head of the Department in the compilation of department-level reports
• Provide support to seminars, events, and activities of the Department
• Provide administrative support to members of the Department
• Provide support to daily operations of the Department office
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Requirements

• A recognized Bachelor’s degree (or above); a postgraduate degree is an advantage
• Relevant experience, especially in the tertiary education sector, is an advantage
• Computer literacy, especially proficiency in word processing
• A background in historical studies and/or digital humanities is an advantage
• High proficiency in written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua) is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of responsibility
• Ability to carry out duties independently and efficiently with minimum supervision

 

Salary and Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
