Jop Duties:

(i) to oversee and participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of physical activity promotion programmes, including prevention / risk-reduction programmes, for both adults and children, and formulate community liaison with other health, social service and education agencies as appropriate;

(ii) to revise and formulate related health messages and tailor-made these messages for dissemination in various channels (e.g. email to stakeholders, media publicity, internet publicity, health educational materials etc.);

(iii) to provide training for the general public, stakeholders, teachers and health professionals; to advise on issues in relation to sports injury apart from promotion of physical activity and active living;

(iv) to provide support to other healthy lifestyle related campaigns. To plan and organise projects and activities under the supervision of representative(s) of DH;

(v) to liaise with partners and stakeholders (employers, schools, NGOs, contractors, government departments, media, etc) to facilitate smooth implementation of projects;

(vi) to organise and assist the distribution of health promotion and publicity materials (including tracking production, delivery, allocation, uploading onto website, etc.); and

(vii) to compile regular and ad hoc reports for documentation of project progress, impact and effectiveness.

Requirements:

(i) must have a Bachelor degree in the field of physical education / sports science, or equivalent;

(ii) have at least one-year post-qualification experience in planning and delivering exercise training workshops or exercise prescription classes and/or health promotion projects;

(iii) be fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese;

(iv) have proficient computer skills (operation with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint); and

(v) be a good team player possessing good communication and interpersonal skills.
