The selected candidate will provide Engineering Support Services for Cathay Cargo Terminal, including Non-MHS equipment maintenance, inventory & warehouse management, and support the terminal capacity planning & improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist manager in engineering department to:
- Implement projects to meeting business and operational needs,
- Supervise the maintenance contractors, including Material Handling System (MHS) and Facility Management to ensure their works meeting SLA,
- Supervise the contractors to timely complete works and closing fault report up to satisfaction,
- Assist manager to implement ad hoc enhancement/improvement projects from feasibility study, design development, tender, execution and hand over to end user department. The projects involve MHS, Facility, Non-MHS equipment and Occupational Health Safety Environment (OHSE) etc.
- Daily supervise the maintenance contractors including the MHS, Facility and Non-MHS equipment to make sure their works meeting the SLA and value for money.
- Ensure that PM/ CM are thoroughly applied on MHS and Facility by a good record & reporting system. Liaise with relevant parties the spare parts for the maintenance works is required.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties during emergency breakdown maintenance, including MHS, Facility and Non-MHS equipment. Supervise the contractors to ensure their timely attendance of all faults, diagnose, estimated downtime and corrective action follow up.
- Supervise the contractors to timely close Defect Outstanding Works List (DOWL) and up to satisfaction with minimal impact to Operations.
- Stationed in Terminal Control Centre (TCC) to monitor the operational and technical performance of the MHS as requested. Monitor MHS of all faults and incidents, and supervise the MHS maintenance contractor at Engineering Control Room for operating status, timely attendance of all faults, diagnosis, estimated down time and corrective action follow up. Liaise and respond to the System Controller Team at the TCC of the MHS operating status, estimated down time and possible solution for maintaining normal cargo handling operation.
- Prepare daily and management reports.
- Any ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Higher Diploma / Certificate or Degree in Engineering.
- A minimum of 6 years post qualification experience with not less than 2 years at supervisory level.
- Good interpersonal skills and good written and communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Good computer knowledge in MS Office.
- Good knowledge and skills on computer aid system for system control.
- Knowledge in using AutoCAD would be an advantage.
- Able to work independently and detail oriented.
- Team player and willing to have shift duties.
