How you will make an impact:

The role oversees all aspects of accounts payable within the finance operations, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and best practices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing accounts payable transactions and vendor credit/master data in compliance with policies
  • Maintaining accurate financial records such as Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) analysis and reconciliations with appropriate remediation
  • Driving continuous improvement through process re-engineering, controlling, and project/business unit initiatives.
  • Governing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounts payable processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on processing of 3-way matching for accounts payable transactions related to project and business units.
  • Review purchase/services agreements to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Prepare reconciliations and govern vendor master data and credit terms in accordance with IFRS compliance and company policy.
  • Support internal and external audit reviews, and drive remediation plans as needed.
  • Partner with various business units to drive Procurement-To-Pay (P2P) initiatives, business improvements, and SOP formulation/ updates.
  • Supervise a team of accounts payable professionals.
  • Maintain a knowledge database of best practices and provide ongoing training to team members.

What we are looking for:

  • Diploma or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Candidates with a CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification are preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of accounting experience.
  • Working experience in construction or project accounting is preferred.
  • Diplomatic and effective communication skills, with strong collaboration abilities.
  • Meticulous and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using SAP S/4 HANA, advanced MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in P2P implementation, including process standardization, data migration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change initiatives.
  • Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Immediate availability is highly desirable.
