Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant) in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 531645) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have at least 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience. They should have good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good computer knowledge (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing) and strong interpersonal skills. They should also be multitasking, independent, self-motivated and attentive to details. Preference will be given to those with work experience in tertiary education or in handling research postgraduate student matters. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerk II.
The appointee will assist with student admissions, student matters and programme administration; organise a variety of academic and outreach activities; provide general support to committees and perform other duties as assigned.
