Position Description

The Product Owner, Group Technology Products supports the Head of Technology Innovation for overseeing project governance, reporting, and steering committee coordination across all technology initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring structured project execution, transparent reporting, and alignment with strategic priorities. The primary focus is on tracking project progress, consolidating reporting, managing risks, and ensuring effective governance mechanisms across multiple technology projects. The role also plays a key part in steering committee coordination, executive reporting, and cross-functional alignment to support business objectives.


What You'll Do

 

  • Governance, Reporting & Project Oversight
    • Lead and manage technology projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Develop and maintain project roadmaps, defining key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
    • Oversee project scope, resources, budgets, and risks to ensure timely and successful delivery.
    • Work with Head of Technology Innovation to define project objectives, priorities, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Establish project documentation standards, ensuring accurate tracking of decisions, risks, and progress.
    • Assist in establishing governance frameworks to ensure projects align with strategic objectives.
    • Standardize and consolidate technology project reporting to maintain transparency across initiatives.
    • Provide structured project insights to support decision-making at senior levels.

 

  • Technology Portfolio Oversight & Steering Committee Coordination
    •  Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and steering committees, summarizing project health, risks, and key decisions.
    • Support the Head of Technology Innovation in facilitating executive discussions by providing well-structured analysis and insights.
    • Develop regular governance reports with performance tracking and recommendations.
       

  • Supporting and enabling the Technology Product Delivery Team to get its work done
    • Work closely with the Technology Product Delivery Team to track progress, consolidate reporting, and ensure key project updates are accurately captured.
    • Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating critical concerns to the Steering Committee as needed.
    • Engage with functional teams to ensure resource availability and alignment with governance standards.
    • Collaborate with Group and Entity IT teams, external technology partners, and key stakeholders to maintain visibility on project execution and risks.
    • Identify and address blockers or impediments that may impact project timelines, ensuring transparency in reporting and risk mitigation.

 

  • Enabling the Agile way of working
    • Modelling behaviours to support the organization’s transformation to a new way of working
    • Actively creating and maintaining the culture within the Technology Product Delivery Team based on the organization and Agile leadership behaviours
    • Helping embed the “nervous system” of the Agile way of working (new governance practices, collaboration model, etc.) within the organization

 

What You'll Need


1. Functional and other Relevant Experience

  • Demonstrate with proven experience in leading and implementing technology projects
  • Demonstrate with proven experience project management skills
  • Customer-focused and passionate of working with teams to design and deliver exceptional products
  • Data-driven approach to decision making, both in day-to-day management and in making strategic trade-offs
  • Knowledge of Design Thinking and ability to analyse and design user journeys
  • Experience releasing global products that meet regulatory requirements

 

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Strong technology literacy with bachelor or above degree education
  • 5+ years of project management experience in managing technology projects
  • Broad knowledge of automation, robotics and AI applications with the technical concept
  • Strong project management/coordination experience working with internal/external stakeholders
  • Be able to follow the direction-setting of HAECO's technology roadmap to help with the steering, project management, and reporting to enhance all technology initiatives, communication and governance
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
  • Experiences in aviation MRO industry will be a plus
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin is an advantage
