Supervise and coordinate the scheduled overhaul, unscheduled maintenance activities and improvement works for the components / electrical equipment of passenger trains according to the maintenance manual, instructions and schedules
Lead a team and ensure adherence to updated maintenance procedures, technical instructions and standards, environmental and safety regulations by performing regular inspections and monitoring maintenance work
Ensure availability of maintenance spare and tools and equipment by monitoring and reviewing the material consumption and operating condition of maintenance tools and equipment
Ensure work safety of staff by organising the workplace, provision of personal protective equipment, compliance with statutory regulation and conducting regular inspection
Ensure the competence of maintenance staff by arranging on-the-job training to subordinates in accordance to the competence requirements to perform the maintenance tasks
Ensure performance of subordinates in terms of their discipline, quality and efficiency of work by day-to-day supervision and performance appraisal
Supervise modification, test/trials, contractor works and Safety Independent Check according to the instructions and requirements as stated in the Work Instruction and relevant engineering documents / instructions for service performance improvement
Initiate and implement shop-floor work improvement through application of new technologies, new way of workings and participation in work process review
Requirements
Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Electrical / Electronic / Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
Sound knowledge in general engineering practices
Self-motivated with good analytical and interpersonal skills
Remarks
Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
