Job Description

This is a full-time position with responsibilities to assist the Children’s Ministry Director in the organization, administration and leadership of the Children’s Ministry in ICA, to ensure effective Bible teaching and application, quality care of children, and effective outreach and ministry to children and families in our church and community.

About the role

This position is responsible for supporting the Children’s Ministry Director through the following areas:

• Administration/coordination/planning/communication/evaluation of children’s ministry, focusing on the spiritual formation of children as disciples of Christ.
• Teaching and assisting on Sundays
• Working closely with volunteers in a way that fosters a sense of community among Children’s Ministry volunteers
• Promote, plan, implement and encourage Children’s Ministry activities for the purpose of a healthy Children’s Ministry
• Communicate with parents of children involved in Children’s Ministry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in ministry with children (e.g., previous staff or volunteering roles)
• Heart for helping kids grow in their faith
• Mature faith
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English
• Excellent communicator with children and their parents
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience in leading volunteers
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Creative event planner
