Requirements:
· Possess an undergraduate degree and a recognized teacher certification, i.e. Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent.
· Have a minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in Art and Design or Visual Art
· Candidates who have experience teaching IGCSE and/or IB Diploma will be preferred, but not a must
· Demonstrate an innovative and creative approach to inspire, challenge, support and empower students and teachers in creative inquiry work
· Be a team player in a high achieving art department
· Have a strong commitment and passion for education.
Preferred qualifications and/or experience:
In addition to the Art teaching duties, teachers are also expected to participate in teacher committees in the school. We would prefer applicants with some experience in university counselling and guidance matters, who are able and motivated to carry out special projects with the University Counselling team including:
· Develop and enhance partnerships with universities to raise the profile of our students
· Develop and enhance partnerships with industry to aid students in discovering enrichment opportunities, internships, and careers
· Develop and improve the Education Career Guidance programmes for pre-IGCSE and IGCSE students
· Guide Grade 8 students and parents on IGCSE course selection.
