FINANCE OFFICE
Senior Finance Manager /Finance Manager (Special Projects) (23241256)
Responsibilities:
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation;
- Manage all aspects of financial planning and analysis, financial accounting, and capital project monitoring;
- Evaluate and improve existing financial processes and policies, identifying areas for enhancement;
- Collaborate as a strategic partner with various departments and academic units, providing financial advice to support decision-making processes;
- Continuously improve the efficiency of financial reporting processes, including month-end and annual closing, management reporting, budgeting exercises, and the fixed assets register, by implementing best practices and automation tools;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and value-added reporting;
- Develop and maintain frameworks for financial and management reporting; experience in capital project accounting is advantageous;
- Prepare the annual budget, manage budgetary control, and participate in digital transformation projects and process improvement initiatives; and
- Perform tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- A degree holder with membership of a recognised professional accounting body;
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial accounting and management reporting, preferably sizeable organisations (those with less work experience will be considered as Manager);
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles; detail-oriented, independent, responsible and proactive in seeking solutions;
- Excellent project management and communication skills, both written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure;
- Proactive and strong analytical skills and collaboration abilities; Good proficiency in computer literacy such as Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI; and
- Prior working experience in audit firms will be an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a proficiency test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 to 3 years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
