What is the opportunity?

RBC Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of the Royal Bank of Canada, is a premier global investment bank that provides a focused set of products and services to corporations, institutional investors and governments around the world. We are currently seeking an Intern to join our Hong Kong team support the senior Global Investment Banking Asia team members to provide investment banking services to clients relating to Mergers & Acquisitions and other investment banking products.

As the Intern, Global Investment Banking (6 month contract), you will support transaction execution and work on industry and company research for client materials, and will gain invaluable work experience working within a fast paced, highly recognized global franchise, based in Hong Kong. This role can potentially be rolled into a full-time position after the contract completed.

What will you do?

  • Work alongside Global Investment Banking Asia team members to support marketing and executing M&A and other relevant investment banking product transactions
  • Work closely with Global Investment Banking team members based in Hong Kong for various tasks
  • Assist with financial analysis, market research, document production, and other tasks as needed

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Previous relevant internship experience in investment banking at reputable financial institutions
  • Fluent English and native Mandarin (read and write)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Eager to learn and willing to work hard

Nice-to-have

  • Experience/knowledge of M&A and financial research
  • An understanding of the Asian / Chinese markets
