We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing top-notch legal services in the realms of intellectual property and technology. You are responsible for advising clients on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including trademark and patent protection, copyright issues, and trade secrets. You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, such as licensing and technology transfer contracts, and represent clients in IP litigation and dispute resolution. Additionally, you will stay abreast of the latest legal developments and technological advancements to offer strategic and innovative solutions. This role demands a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice on trademark, patent, copyright, and trade secret matters.
- Draft and negotiate licensing, technology transfer, and other IP-related agreements.
- Represent clients in IP litigation and dispute resolution.
- Stay updated on the latest legal developments and technological advancements.
- Collaborate with a global team to deliver top-tier legal services.
About You
- 2 to 5 years’ PQE
- Solid experience in contentious and non-contentious IP work, including prosecution, enforcement, litigation and commercial/IP transactional work.
- A genuine interest in developing broad-based skills in the IPT space.
- Ability to manage complex and varied workloads efficiently to the highest standard
- Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (spoken/written/drafting)
- Has a proactive, innovative and value-adding mindset
