Executive Officer I/ II (carrying the job title of ‘Senior Programme Manager / Programme Manager, Master of Science in Sustainable Global Business’) (Ref. 250000K3) (Closing date: Apr 11, 2025)

 

The Department of Management is looking for a high-calibre candidate for the position of Executive Officer I/ II, carrying the job title of ‘Senior Programme Manager/ Programme Manager, Master of Science in Sustainable Global Business’.

 

Assisting the Programme Director and Associate Director to achieve the strategic goals, the appointee will be responsible for (a) managing the programme and curriculum of the MSc in Sustainable Global Business; (b) planning and implementing the student recruiting and marketing strategies; (c) managing the budget and accounting operations of the programme; (d) providing administrative and committee secretarial support; (e) liaising with external and internal stakeholders for organising and participating in programme events; (f) planning, designing and co-ordinating overseas study trips; (g) student advising; (h) handling student matters; (i) handling assessment and quality assurance matters; (j) supervising and coaching support staff; and (k) performing any other tasks as assigned. Irregular working hours and overseas travel may be required.

 

Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 8 years’ (for Executive Officer I) or 3 years’ (For Executive Officer II) post-qualification executive experience, preferably gained from higher education institutions; (iv) excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills; (v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (vi) self-motivation, and the ability to multitask and work under pressure; (vii) the ability to work independently and as a team member with a strong sense of responsibility and a committed work attitude; (viii) strong organisational, management and analytical skills; (ix) solid experience in student recruiting and marketing within an education context; and (x) high computer proficiency. Having knowledge of and experience in digital media marketing will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement
