Overview

A fine art reproduction photographer is needed to capture high-quality images of artworks with exceptional accuracy . This role requires a keen eye for color, advanced technical proficiency, and strong attention to detail to create faithful representations of valuable artworks.

The position is based onsite at newly established studios on Hong Kong Island and involves regular travel between studio locations .

Key Responsibilities

• Produce museum-quality reproductions that capture the color, texture, and fine details of artworks.
• Set up, manage, and maintain camera systems, lighting, backdrops, and other studio equipment .
• Use cross-polarization and advanced lighting techniques for accurate reproduction.
• Ensure proper organization and backup of digital assets.
• Stay up to date on photography software and industry advancements .
• Maintain a clean and functional studio environment.
• Communicate effectively with the team and clients .
• Mentor and train freelance photographers as needed.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in fine art reproduction photography .
• Expertise in medium format and DSLR cameras and studio equipment.
• Advanced skills in Capture One or Capture One (Cultural Heritage) and Adobe Photoshop .
• Strong understanding of color theory, RGB and CMYK processes for both web and print .
• Experience using digital asset management software .
• Ability to photograph 3D objects using traditional methods is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively .
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering flawless results .
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-end fine art reproductions.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Office 365 for communication and collaboration.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English , with conversational Mandarin.
• Flexibility to work extra hours and weekends during peak periods.
