THE ROLE
Based in the Hong Kong office, the Vice President ("VP") will be responsible for assisting Managing Director of Asia and Middle East in directing the day-to-day operations of the Department’s professional services in the south-east Asian region. The VP will provide clear direction and comprehensive support to the Department with the aim of enhancing the company’s competitive position and achieving its strategic objectives.
The VP has the responsibility for managing a strong, highly effective corporate administration team.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Assisting MD to implement the business and marketing strategy for the Department in the Asia-Pac region, in line with the Company's targets and expectations for growth.
- Participate and contribute to global discussions on key initiatives and projects, oversee and assist with regional implementation and communication of such initiatives and projects.
- Engage and manage the relationship with the law firm (internal) and communicate effectively across different offices within Walkers.
- Inspiring, mentoring and coaching corporate administration team and building commitment to exceptional client service in the region.
- Provide guidance and support to client relationship managers ensure smooth operation and integration with both the WCL team and the law firm.
- Participate in all aspects of recruitment, training, development of policies and procedures, goal setting and performance management.
- Oversee the client on-boarding process, and ensure internal compliance policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Relationship management for key clients, and act as primary point of contact in respect of service levels.
- Assist with designing, implementing and overseeing internal processes, controls, and quality control checks.
- Contribute to, and assist in the preparation of annual and long-term business plans.
- Working alongside compliance function to ensure AML standards are adhered to, minimising business risk and fostering a culture of compliance.
- Initiate and lead/assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position is required to supervise and manage a team of WCL and CRM in Hong Kong.
Education, Skills & Experience
THE CANDIDATE
- Educated to degree level or equivalent. Relevant post-graduate or professional qualification
- Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in a similar role, including team management and change management.
- Working knowledge of Cayman Islands laws and regulations preferred
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically
- Good inter-personal skills with proven ability to lead and promote a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational, analytical and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and management time effectively
- Windows -Microsoft Word -Microsoft Excel - Outlook
