Job Summary

Strategy

  • Support the targeted and appropriate use of management time by providing analytical support in the investor targeting process, fully leveraging the Nasdaq IRI tool
  • Contribute to the development and communication of the Group’s overall and business strategies
  • Contribute to the delivery of investor / analyst trips both logistically, strategically and from an ongoing messaging perspective
  • Input into the ongoing corporate narrative, ensuring full and fair valuation for the Group.

Business

  • Current shareholders:
  • To Observe the monthly shareholder register analysis to detect trends
  • Create bespoke summaries of larger institutions and key contacts at Management, Portfolio Manager, Analyst and Stewardship levels, and store in contact management system
  • Develop direct relationships where possible, particularly with counterpart access teams
  • Future shareholders:
  • Maintain and help refresh the IR team's target investor list
  • Create bespoke summaries of larger institutions and key contacts
  • Proactively suggest and help execute specific engagement plans
  • Provide regular updates on recent and forthcoming engagements
  • Roadshow, conference and direct access management
  • Act as primary liaison with external corporate access and contact-management teams
  • Help prepare in 4Q of each year the following year's annual schedule
  • Work with brokers, Nasdaq or other 3rd party platforms to plan and execute roadshows
  • Produce and circulate investor briefing notes that are appropriate for the recipient
  • Make initial proposal concerning meeting schedules (which investors to meet 1:1, 2/3:1 or Group)
  • Investor seminars
  • Propose buyside and sellside invitation list, and manage overall RSVP process
  • Provide a supporting role in the preparation and verification of seminar presentation materials
  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates

  • To support the flawless delivery of external events such as full year and half year results, Interim Management Statements, investor trips, road shows etc...
  • To support the operational resilience of the IR function through documentation and standardisation of processes and constantly looking for ways to improve the way we work

  • Lead by example with the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations within the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.

Risk Management

  • An awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing and communicating with the market regarding them

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin a must; verbal Cantonese optional
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent financial literacy - understand financial reports and awareness of financial markets trends
  • Be detail-oriented and have problem-solving skills.
  • Highly inquisitive with an ability to flex approach for different audiences and situations
  • Able to challenge, influence and have courageous conversations with peers and senior colleagues
  • Ability to learn – being able to understand the impact across the narrative of the Bank
