About the Foundation
The Ching Tien Foundation for Women (CTFW) empowers the next generation of female leaders across Asia by providing global study opportunities, leadership training, and mentorship. The programs equip young women particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds with the skills, confidence, and global exposure necessary to become changemakers in their communities.
Despite Asia’s rapid economic development, gender inequality remains deeply ingrained in many cultures, limiting women’s access to leadership roles. CTFW aims to bridge this gap by creating opportunities for talented young women to thrive and make a lasting impact in their societies.
To expand our reach, CTFW is establishing a presence in Hong Kong and forming a local charity board. We seek a Hong Kong-based Director of Development to lead fundraising, outreach, and partnerships in the region.

About CTFW & Ching Tien’s Legacy
CTFW builds on the legacy of Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC), a Canadian charity founded by Ching Tien, which operated for 18 years and supported over 2,000 young women from rural China to achieve high school and university education with over 99% graduation rate.
About Ching Tien
Ching Tien, a Chinese Canadian social entrepreneur and advocate for gender equality. Growing up during the China’s Cultural Revolution, she was denied formal education and experienced firsthand the barriers to education for women in rural China. After over 20 years living in Canada and witnessed how education transform lives, Ching founded Educating Girls of Rural China and committed herself to empowering young women through access to education. Her belief: "Educated women have educated children” have inspired many people including over 2,000 rural Chinese young women who benefited from her work. The Ching Tien Foundation for Women builds on the legacy of EGRC and expands this mission beyond China by supporting young women across Asia to become leaders in social impact, business, and policy.
