Role Description

This position is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Sommelier/Sommelier at Club Bâtard in Hong Kong. The Assistant Sommelier/Sommelier will be responsible for each venue's daily operations and wine service to the members. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to expand knowledge and experience the world's finest wines from the top producers and serve the world's most influential individuals and wine lovers as guests.

Job Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Sommelier, preferably in fine dining or upscale restaurants.
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of wines and regions and a passion for staying updated on industry trends - Wine-related qualifications are a plus, such as CMS Certified/Advanced Sommelier, WSET Level 3 or Diploma, and A.S.I. Diploma, etc.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guest interactions and staff collaboration.
5. Fluent English is a must, and Cantonese, Putonghua, or another language is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert guidance to guests in selecting wines for an enhanced dining experience.
2. Engage with guests, making personalized wine recommendations and sharing detailed information.
3. Assist in organizing and maintaining the wine cellar and monitoring inventory levels.
4. Contribute to staff training, conduct tastings, and support wine-related events.
5. Focus on excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience.
