Job Purpose:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for finance and accounting operations for the Hong Kong and Macau rental business. The role will report directly to the Financial Controller, ASEAN. You and your team will be tasked with providing accurate financial information to management for decision making and to safeguard company assets and minimize risks to the company.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise day to day accounting operations
• Liaise with other departments to personally manage confidential information needed for monthly closing process (e.g. payroll journals)
• Responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness in monthly and annual closing process
• Review monthly management reports (e.g. bank reconciliation, audit schedules, fixed asset schedules)
• Review monthly financial performance for discussion with Country Manager and for reporting to holding company
• Review working capital (e.g. cash flow forecasts, cash balances reporting)
• Responsible to assist the Country Manager in driving the annual company Budget and Re-Forecasts
• Responsible for managing audits, internal and external
• Assist management in identifying internal process improvements and implement internal controls
• Liaise with bankers, auditors, suppliers, related parties and any other stakeholders on matters requiring finance’s inputs
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements (e.g. tax computation, tax audits, GST, audited financial statements)
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial transactions
• Supervise team member and be responsible for team’s professional development
• Any other ad-hoc management tasks

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy / Finance, or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar capacity or positions
• Able to communicate fluently in English
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Meticulous, with an eye for details
• Able to work independently
• Possess good initiative
