We are seeking a visionary leader to drive our financial services client's Cash Equity Middle-Back Office Systems. In this role, you will manage the full software development lifecycle—including blueprinting, design, development, testing, and deployment—with a strong emphasis on Java-based solutions. You will lead a team of developers and work closely with business stakeholders, ensuring the back office platforms meet the high standards required in an investment banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end development of back office systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
Provide hands-on expertise in Java, architecture design, and system optimization.
Drive technical discussions and ensure innovative practices are followed throughout the SDLC.
Manage and mentor a diverse group of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Implement agile methodologies to streamline project delivery and enhance team productivity.
Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and deliverables.
Ensure regular communication of project progress, risks, and milestones to executive leadership.
Champion initiatives that improve system robustness, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to inform long-term system architecture and strategic planning.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Established expertise in Java development with comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-level applications, particularly within the financial services domain.
A minimum of 10 years in software development, with significant exposure to financial technology or investment banking environments.
Proven history of delivering complex systems that meet high availability and performance benchmarks.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire technical teams.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with business stakeholders and executive management.
Adept at balancing technical requirements with strategic business outcomes.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
