We are seeking a visionary leader to drive our financial services client's Cash Equity Middle-Back Office Systems. In this role, you will manage the full software development lifecycle—including blueprinting, design, development, testing, and deployment—with a strong emphasis on Java-based solutions. You will lead a team of developers and work closely with business stakeholders, ensuring the back office platforms meet the high standards required in an investment banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end development of back office systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

  • Provide hands-on expertise in Java, architecture design, and system optimization.

  • Drive technical discussions and ensure innovative practices are followed throughout the SDLC.

  • Manage and mentor a diverse group of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • Implement agile methodologies to streamline project delivery and enhance team productivity.

  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.

  • Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and deliverables.

  • Ensure regular communication of project progress, risks, and milestones to executive leadership.

  • Champion initiatives that improve system robustness, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to inform long-term system architecture and strategic planning.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Established expertise in Java development with comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.

  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-level applications, particularly within the financial services domain.

  • A minimum of 10 years in software development, with significant exposure to financial technology or investment banking environments.

  • Proven history of delivering complex systems that meet high availability and performance benchmarks.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire technical teams.

  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with business stakeholders and executive management.

  • Adept at balancing technical requirements with strategic business outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
