Job Description:
As a Fund Accounting Associate at ALPS, you will play a key role in supporting our fund operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our fund administrative activities. You will work closely with clients, fund managers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality fund administration services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fund accounting activities, including Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports.
- Process fund transactions accurately and in a timely manner, including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, and transfers.
- Prepare and review financial statements, regulatory filings, and other fund-related reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve accounting and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assist with audits and provide support for ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting principles and financial instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of open-end and closed-end fund structures, as well as fund accounting processes.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly desirable but not mandatory.
