About Our Client

Our client is a long established association with decades of history in serving the community of Hong Kong. They are looking for a leader with strong business acumen to take the association forward to achieve many more milestones.

About The Role

The Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the association, ensuring the fulfillment of its mission and vision. This role involves steering the organization's branding efforts, driving new membership acquisition and engagement, planning impactful programs, exploring innovative revenue streams, and managing a dynamic team to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1.⁠ ⁠Leadership & Management:

- Develop best in class NGO secretariat and implement the organization's strategic goals and objectives in collaboration with the Board of Directors.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the team.

- Oversee daily operations to ensure operational excellence.

2.⁠ ⁠Branding & Communication:

- Enhance the organization's public image and visibility through effective branding and communication strategies.

- Build a close communication and network with external stakeholders, such as government officials, trade associations, etc.

3.⁠ ⁠Membership Development:

- Lead initiatives to grow young members population as well as retain, and engage members, ensuring their active participation and alignment with the association's mission.

- Build a strong sense of community and value for members through tailored engagement strategies.

4.⁠ ⁠Program Planning & Implementation:

- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs to ensure they align with the association's mission and objectives.

- Identify and implement opportunities for program expansion and innovation.

5.⁠ ⁠Revenue Generation:

- Explore and develop new revenue streams to diversify and enhance financial sustainability.

- Cultivate partnerships with other parties for collaboration.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ⁠ ⁠Proven track record in senior leadership roles, preferably within the associations or non-profit sector.
  • ⁠ ⁠Strong expertise in branding, membership development, program management, and revenue generation.
  • ⁠ ⁠Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • ⁠ ⁠Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
  • ⁠ ⁠Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • ⁠ ⁠Relevant academic qualifications (e.g., business administration, public relations, non-profit management, etc.).
