The Job
Reporting to Senior Manager (External Affairs), major duties of the appointee include:

  • Assist in formulating and executing various stakeholder engagement strategies;
  • Assist in planning and implementing various stakeholder engagement exercises including consultations and introduction on new initiatives;
  • Assist and coordinate the public engagement activities of Senior Management of the Authority;
  • Undertake communication programmes and daily liaison work with key stakeholders, such as labour unions, employer associations, industry bodies, professional bodies and Friends of MPF, etc;
  • Prepare write-ups and information for engaging target stakeholders and for other communication purposes;
  • Conduct talks/briefings to various stakeholders;
  • Handle sponsorship requests from relevant stakeholders;
  • Prepare contribution articles for various stakeholders’ publication; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Person

  • A recognized degree, preferably in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or equivalent;
  • At least six years of relevant experience in community relations, marketing communications or public relations, preferably gained from sizable or public organizations;
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and fluency in Putonghua is preferred;
  • Creative in building rapport with stakeholders;
  • Keen to keep up to date on market landscape and dynamics;
  • Adaptive to change and proactively identify issues and innovative measures; and
  • Able to articulate messages clearly with styles appropriate to the audience and occasions

Remuneration Package
A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
