Salary: $14,150 per month
Entry Requirements: Candidates should have –
(a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent (Note 1) or above in five subjects in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; or
(ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent;
(b) met the language proficiency requirement of Level 2 (Note 3) or above in Chinese language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;
(c) Familiar with computer software including Chinese and English Word-processing skills, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
(d) Candidates with relevant working experience preferred; and
(e) Candidates who are invited for interview will be requested to participate in a Chinese and English word processing speed test before the interview.
Note:
(1) “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2)The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.
(3)‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties:
(a) To provide clerical, secretarial and logistic support in the organization of community involvement campaigns and projects;
(b) To provide clerical and secretarial support for the daily operation of District Councils;
(c) To provide clerical and secretarial support for the Committees/Working Groups under District Councils;
(d) To provide clerical and logistic support to duties in relation to District Management;
(e) To conduct site visits as well as assist in inter-departmental joint operations and outdoor duties, including occasional manual work; and
(f) Other related duties as and when required.
Terms of Appointment: (1) Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms.
(2) Candidates appointed may be required to work outdoor, overtime, irregular hours and work on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
Fringe Benefits Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

If candidates submit the old version form G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013), they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request. If candidates fail to submit the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) within the stipulated deadline, their applications will not be processed further.

(4) For submission by post, the date of application is based on the stamp chop date. Please ensure that sufficient postage is paid. Any underpaid mail items will be handled by the Hongkong Post and applications will not be considered. Late applications, or applications which are incomplete or without the relevant supporting documents will not be considered.
(5) Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation about 8 to 10 weeks after the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
