About The Business

Financial Advisory (FA) practice of Deloitte China provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients throughout all phases of the economic cycle. FA comprises several distinct but related global service lines whose shared principal objective is the creation and enhancement of shareholder and stakeholder value.

Deloitte Forensic Services assist organizations in managing forensic issues and focus on outcomes that address reputation protection, asset recovery and prevention.

Work you'll do

  • Collaborate with various business units within Deloitte to support the Deloitte Private initiative which focuses on provide tailored service offerings to family enterprise clients;
  • Support general advisory services to family enterprise clients, such as proactive succession and wealth planning / family governance / fund setup and project feasibility studies;
  • Support court-appointed projects and other advisory projects often of a dispute nature, such as estate administration of a deceased / mentally incapacitated person, compulsory / voluntary liquidations arising from family/shareholder disputes and etc.;
  • Help to create and develop advisory based projects such as anti-dispute or alternative dispute resolution paths;
  • Plan and execute projects, produce work of a high standard and deliver effective and efficient solutions;
  • Understand the complexity of different clients’ background and priorities, recognize and respect each clients’ unique situation, assist clients in identifying solutions to resolve complex family dynamics, including disagreement and challenges;
  • Supporting Deloitte Private marketing initiatives including collaboration with external partners on networking events, seminars and presentations;
  • Collect and analyze data, apply knowledge to effectively diagnose a crisis situation and develop informed recommendations;
  • Collaborate with external advisors (such as lawyers), clients and senior management of companies to effectively support and manage the projects and be able to provide insight on how to strengthen the cases at all stages of a complex dispute project;
  • Manage own work in an ethical manner with a continuous attention to quality, risk rules, and confidentiality;
  • Project management, including financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well as analysis on project financial performance (revenue, billing, collection, and etc.);
  • Supervise team members to assist on the above;
  • Contribute towards our brand by participating in business development activities and building a network amongst professional advisors and potential clients.

We are looking for someone with

  • A bachelor degree or similar in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law or related disciplines;
  • Certification of HKICPA, ACCA, CICPA or relevant qualification;
  • Likely at least five years' work experience. Prior exposure to work of dispute / litigation support nature, administration of estate of a deceased / mentally incapacitated person is preferred;
  • Excellent business sense and analytical skills, with high commitment to delivery excellence, as well as a dedicated work ethic;
  • Self-motivated fast learner and capable of handling complex projects. Able to operate with minimal supervision and think laterally;
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with flexibility and adaptability to work in different projects and on different industries;
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; and deadline and result-driven;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), including both technical and business writing, good documentation skills;
  • Good team player with strong project management capabilities and ability to build effective relationships at all levels;
  • Proactive and willing to take on challenges and responsibilities;
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word;
  • Candidates with more years of relevant experiences would be considered for Senior position.
