As an individual contributor on our Security Team, you’ll have a broad set of responsibilities to support security decisions and architectures across the entire company.
What you’ll do
Analyze and improve the security posture of all aspect of Employee IT and production environments
Provide expert-level support in responding to and remediating system and/or network security breaches
Plan, implement, manage, monitor and upgrade security measures/architectures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems, and networks
Design, document, and implement complex security controls
Work with engineers to design and implement automated security auditing and log collection on our cloud-based platforms
Act as an escalation point for triaging and troubleshooting the most critical security problems
Ensure that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls
Plan, create and implement cybersecurity processes and policies
Support the Security Engineering, Red Team/Pentesting Team, and the SOC by reviewing and continuously improving their processes, procedures, and architectures.
Support the creation of and help provide training related to various security topics to engineering teams and ExpressVPN employees
Provide expert insights into existing and new threat models for all IT and production services
What you’ll bring
Expert knowledge of security controls, audits, and configurations related to:
Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, and macOS
Hardening across a variety of operating systems,network equipment, and cloud environments
Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions such as Carbon Black or Endgame
TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, firewalls, WAF, and web content filtering
Cryptography: PGP, SSH, PKI
AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, and tooling such as Terraform
Cloud security for production environments
Security-related development in languages such as: Python, bash, or Golang
Threat model methodologies such as STRIDE
