Supervise the day-to-day distribution center operations to ensure overall efficient and effective operations
General Responsibilities
Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
Support the development and enhancement of distribution center strategies, policies and processes to optimize warehouse capacity, enhance productivity and minimize costs
Supervise the day-to-day distribution center operations to ensure all orders are allocated and distributed to the team correctly according to schedule
Coordinate permanent and temporary labor resources to ensure efficient distribution center operations
Initiate work orders and coordinate with contractors for repairs for any deviation on facilities and equipment
Identify improvements in warehouse operational processes and activities to enhance productivity and minimize costs
Supervise day-to-day operation processes to ensure compliance to distribution center standards/standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines
Supervise stock-related activities including space allocation, stock counting and stock transfer to ensure effective, accurate and timely stock management
Supervise the product inspection of all orders to ensure all goods are in good condition and quality before storage
Build effective business relationships with suppliers, customers, government agencies and service providers
Liaise with all relevant functional managers to ensure seamlessly integrated business solutions i.e. customer services, finance, sales, etc.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrate working understanding of distribution center, distribution and transportation
Proven hands-on experience in warehousing, inventory management, pick and pack functions
Demonstrate strong appreciation of customer service requirements and commitment
Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills
Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
Requirements
Diploma/certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or related field
Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role
Demonstrate working understanding of distribution center, distribution and transportation
Proven hands-on experience in warehousing, inventory management, pick and pack functions
Fork-lift License is required
Working Hours: 08:00 - 17:30 (Mon to Fri) + 08:00 - 12:00 (Alternative Saturday)
