The Opportunity: Your Role as a Financial Advisory Intern

This isn't just about crunching numbers; it's about contributing to the growth engine of promising companies. As a Summer Financial Advisory Analyst Intern, you will work directly alongside our experienced team, supporting critical projects that help our startup and SME clients navigate financial challenges and seize growth opportunities. You'll gain hands-on exposure to the practical application of financial analysis, modeling, and strategic advisory within the fast-paced environment of growing businesses. This role offers a blend of in-office collaboration in Shanghai and the flexibility of remote work.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

• Support Financial Modeling: Assist senior analysts in building and refining financial models (e.g., forecasts, budgets, cash flow projections, basic valuation models) tailored to the specific needs of startup and SME clients.
• Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Collect, clean, and analyze client financial and operational data to identify key performance indicators (KPIs), historical trends, and potential areas for financial improvement or risk mitigation.
• Financial Statement Review: Help the team review and interpret client financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to understand business performance and financial health.
• Market & Industry Research: Conduct targeted research on industries, market trends, and competitive landscapes relevant to client projects and potential investment opportunities.
• Report & Presentation Support: Contribute to the preparation of clear, concise client deliverables, including sections of reports, presentations, and financial summaries, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Due Diligence Assistance: Provide support on specific tasks related to financial due diligence processes as needed for client projects (e.g., data room organization, basic checks).

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

• Currently Pursuing: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field, with a strong academic record.
• Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to analyze quantitative data, identify patterns, and draw logical conclusions. Coursework or projects involving financial analysis are highly relevant.
• Collaborative & Independent: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, take direction, and manage assigned tasks independently to meet deadlines.
• Interest: A genuine interest in startups, SMEs, venture capital, or corporate finance is highly desirable.
