The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is one of the largest and most active independent international business organizations in Hong Kong SAR. With approximately 1,000 members, ranging from multinational corporations to medium and smaller companies and start-ups, the Chamber encourages diversity in its membership. The Chamber's mission is to help members grow their business and promote their interests by offering representation, advocacy, networking opportunities, brand exposure, and valuable information.

 

����  Location:  Wan Chai, Hong Kong 

 

����  Position Overview:  The Policy Academy Summer Internship program is your ticket to dive into the world of policy advocacy and business representation, right in the heart of Hong Kong. The internship is an opportunity to gain invaluable experience, build a robust professional network, and make a real impact on the business landscape.

 

����  Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of Policy Address Submissions and responses to public consultations from the Government.
  • Conduct studies and analyses for the policy team as requested, providing reports to the Head of Government Relations.
  • Track major policy announcements relevant to businesses in Hong Kong.
  • Assist the policy team in planning and organizing upcoming committee meetings.
  • Undertake any ad hoc tasks assigned by the Head of Government Relations.


����  Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Any level of college student is welcome to apply.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in political science, policy analysis, economics, or social science, but any major is welcomed to apply.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • A passion for policy advocacy and government relation. 
  • Strong argumentative writing and analytical research skills.
  • A writing assessment and a writing example may be required as part of the application process.
  • This is an unpaid internship. 


����  Internship Duration:  30 June – 22 August 2025 (8 weeks)
