Job Description: Finance Director / CFO


Job Duties

A) Financial Management

  • Oversee the entire financial operations of the company, including managing the full set of accounts and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor and manage daily cash flow, ensuring compliance with tight deadlines for month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing financial performance and providing strategic recommendations to the CFO.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including cost elements, to prepare detailed management reports that drive decision-making.
  • Ensure effective inventory management practices are in place and periodically conduct stock counts for accuracy.


B) Compliance and Risk Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal control systems, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead the risk management process, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate compliance requirements and updates to the leadership team and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Prepare for and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Handle ad hoc assignments and projects as required by the CFO or executive team.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant financial management experience, with a track record of stakeholder management and leadership in a commercial environment.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial management software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, independent, and self-motivated with a proactive and strategic approach to financial management.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin; excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Immediate availability is highly preferred.
