Description

The Manager or Senior Manager of Charity Projects will play a pivotal role in managing key initiatives to build synergy, optimize grant impact, and foster youth upward mobility and poverty alleviation. Additionally, the role involves initiating, developing, and implementing new projects that align with these objectives.

Collaborating closely with NGO operators, service units, fund administrators, external consultants, and program evaluators, the Manager or Senior Manager will ensure alignment across all stakeholders to achieve successful project delivery. The responsibilities include overseeing project design and implementation, managing fund applications and periodic reviews, and introducing new interventions. Research, evaluation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders will also be key to ensuring the success of these initiatives. Furthermore, the Manager or Senior Manager will oversee other strategic youth development projects funded by the Trust to amplify their impact, consolidate insights for stakeholder sharing, and develop new grants to address emerging opportunities.

The role also entails overseeing project governance, managing advisory committees, taskforce groups, and incubation partners, while ensuring effective execution through rigorous monitoring of outcomes, budget management, and impact assessment. Regular reporting, including financial and progress updates, as well as recommendations to senior management, the Donations Committee, or the Board of Trustees, will be required.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in a mid-senior role, preferably in social welfare, public administration, consulting, human resources, finance, or grant-making sectors. A proven track record of managing complex or large-scale projects is essential, along with strong knowledge of research, evaluation, and data analysis. The candidate should demonstrate a passion for addressing the evolving needs of impoverished populations and possess extensive experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, such as government officials, NGOs, consultants, and branding agencies.
